Lakkahillo fivérek

Miika and Olli Lakkahillo are brothers from the sparsely populated area of North Karelia. They make a living as goat sheperds and are one of the last representatives alive of authentic Finnish folk music traditions. Besides folk songs they also perform own compositions which derive from the rich folk culture they carry inside their souls. Listening to the Lakkahillo Songbook one can experience the intimacy of the raw and pure performance of their deeply meditative and highly spiritual music. The recording sessions were held in the brothers' cottage using only one mic. Some of their songs are accompanied with guitar some are 'a capella'. Discography Lakkahillo Songbook (2005)
